Covid-19 Testing Information

There are several testing options available in Copenhagen, should you require a negative Covid-19 test for travel.

PCR Testing / Fit to fly Certificate

Option 1 - Airport Doctor
  • Cost - 2500 DKK (approximately €335) 
  • Test results within 1.5 – 3 hours
  • Appointments must be booked in advance online
  • Located in Terminal 2 across check-in 102 on the 1st floor
  • Issues a fit to fly document (PCR test)
Option 2 - Hamlet Hospital
  • Cost – 1385 DKK (approximately €185) for international travellers without Danish ID
  • Test results within 48 hours if the test is made before noon Monday-Thursday
  • Must call in advance to get a test slot, only Danes can book online
  • Located in Mørkhøj, 25km from the Bella Center
  • Issues a fit to fly document (PCR test)

Antigen Test

SOS International 
  • Cost – 375 DKK (approximately €50)
  • Test results within 15 minutes
  • Appointments must be booked in advance online
  • Produced by French medical company BioSynex. CE approved and validated by the Danish medical consultancy company Medkoncept
  • Located in Frederiksberg, 10km from the Bella Center
  • Issues a personal ‘Covid-19 passport’. This is an antigen test and NOT a PCR Test

Airport Testing Centre

Copenhagen Airport
  • Free of charge testing at Copenhagen Airport
  • Only for inbound travellers upon arrival in Denmark, upon production of a boarding pass
  • You do not get a certificate and you are only contacted if your test is positive.
How does it work?
  • Travellers may use the test centre without booking an appointment (it’s required to show a valid ticket or boarding pass) and the test itself takes about 5 minutes.
  • Danish citizens may find their test result online at sundhed.dk within 1-2 days while foreign citizens will only be contacted in the case of a positive COVID-19 test result.
  • In the case of a positive Covid-19 test result, citizens are encouraged to follow the Danish Health Authority’s guidelines concerning self-isolation and contact tracing.
How quickly, and how do you get the results of the test?
  • The test takes just a couple of minutes to complete.
  • Danish citizens can find their test result online at sundhed.dk within 1-2 days.
  • All foreign citizens will be contacted by the national Corona Hotline, but only in the event of a positive test result. If the test result is negative, the foreign citizen will not hear from the national Corona Hotline.
  • In the case of a positive Covid-19 test result, citizens are encouraged to follow the Danish Health Authority’s guidelines concerning self-isolation and contact tracing.
Who can use the test centre?
  • The authorities encourage all inbound Danes and foreign travellers from all countries who are at least 12 years old, without symptoms and wish to be tested for Covid-19 to visit the test centre located at Parking P5.
  • Children under 12 years old and persons with symptoms will not be tested in the test centre. 
  • The test centre is reserved for inbound Danes and foreign travellers on foot. Travellers can utilise the test centre without prior appointment (it’s required to show a valid ticket or boarding pass), and citizens (non-travellers) need to book an appointment to be able to utilize the test facilities.
